A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD APPROVING LOCAL AGENCY-STATE AGREE-
MENT NO. U. E. 70-11 FEDERAL-AID SECONDARY ROADS,
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AGREEMENT NO. 25-70 , FOR
URBAN EXTENSION PROJECT U. E. 575-1, BRUNDAGE
LANE BETWEEN UNION AVENUE AND 1200 FEET EAST OF
COTTONWOOD ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield and the County of Kern
have entered into Cooperative Agreement No. 1-70 for the widening
and improving of Brundage Lane between Union Avenue and 1200 feet
east of Cottonwood Road; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 143.3 of the
California Streets and Highways Code, State Highway Funds may be
allocated for expenditure on the urban extensions of the Federal-
Aid Secondary system upon p~ojects selected by the cities and
counties in cooperation with the State; and
WHEREAS, the project, subject to the agreement, has been
so selected by the City of Bakersfield and the County of Kern and
approved by the California Highway Corfnf~ission and the State Depart-
ment of Public Works; and there being State Highway Funds available
for said project; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Public Works is required
to enter into an agreement with the Local Agencies relative to
the prosecution of the project and the obligation of participating
State Highway Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Local Agency-State
Agreement No. U. E. 70-11 Federal-Aid Secondary Roads, City of
Bakersfield Agreement No. 25-70 , is hereby approved and the
Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 30th day of March, 1970, by
the following vote:
