A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DECLARING THAT A MAJORITY PROTEST
HAS NOT BEEN MADE TO THE ANNEXATION OF TERRI-
TORY DESIGNATED AS "PANORAMIC HEIGHTS NO. 3 --
PARCEL NO. 1" PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Government Code of the State
of California, Sections 34300 and following, Iproceedings have been
instituted for the annexation of certain territory designated as
"Panoramic Heights No. 3 -- Parcel No. 1"; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such 'proceedings a 'petition was
signed and filed for such annexation, a resolution adopted
describing boundaries of the territory sought to be annexed, 'publi-
cations had on said resolution and a time adopted for hearing of
Iprotests from persons owning real 'property in said territory; and
WHEREAS, a hearing was duly held in the Council Chambers
of the City Hall in the City of Bakersfield on the 23rd day of
March, 1970, at the hour of eight o'clock 'p.m. pursuant to
notices given in compliance with law; and
WHEREAS, March 23, 1970, at the hour of 8:00 P. M. was
the time set for hearing protests by any person owning 'property
within the aforesaid territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That at the time set for hearing Iprotests to the proposed
annexation and at the time to which said hearing was held a majority
protest has not been made by 'private owners of one-half the value
of the territory proposed to be annexed, as shown by the last
equalized assessment roll, orby publicland'private owners'equal
to one-half of the value of said territory, said 'property being
designated as "Panoramic Heights No. 3 -- Parcel No. 1" and more
particularly described in R~solution No. 10-70 of the City of
Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of March,,L 1970, by
the following vote:
