HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 18-70RESOLUTION NO. i8-70 RESOLUTION ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "PANORAMIC HEIGHTS NO. 3 -- PARCEL NO. 1" TO THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did, on the 9th day of February, 1970, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 11-70, to include certain property designated as "Panoramic Heights No. 3 -- Parcel No. 1", within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and did set.the time and place for hearing objections to the inclusion of said territory within said District; and WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and legally published once a week for two weeks, the first publication thereof being at least twenty days prior to the date of the hearing as provided by law; and WHEREAS, Monday, the 23rd day of March, 1970, at the hour of 8:00 P. M., was set as the time for hearing objections to the inclusion of said territory within said District; and WHEREAS, no objection has been filed or 'presented to said Council to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and the Council further finds that all of said territory will be benefited by its inclusion within said District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND THE COUNCIL DOES HEREBY FIND: That no objection to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, has been'fileh'or presented to this Council. That said territory and every 'part thereof be, and the same is hereby annexed to and included within the said Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District upon completion of annex- ation of said territory to the City of Bakersfield, which territory is described as follows: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California and being a 'portion of the SE 1/4 of Section 10, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.B.& M. Beginning at the point of intersection of the north line of south 180 feet of said Section 10 with the west line of the E 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 10, said intersection being also a point on the c6rporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield as defined by Ordinance No. 1792, New Series; Thence (1) northerly, departing from said corporate boundary, along the last named west line to intersect the north line of the S 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 10; Thence (2) easterly along the last named north line to inter- sect the west line of the east 550 feet of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 10; Thence (3) northerly along the last named west line to a 'point which lies 400 feet south of the north line of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 10, as measured along said last named west line, said point being also a 'point on the corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield as defined by said Ordinance No. 1792, New Series; Thence (4) southeasterly, westerly, southerly and westerly along courses 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the last named corporate boundary to intersect the west line of the E 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 10, being the · point of beginning, containing 5.14 acres, mo~e or less. o0o -2- I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of March, 1970, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN BLEECKER, HEISEY, REES, RUCKER, STIERN, VETTER, WHII'I'EMORE NOES,: COUNCILMEN: "~X.--'f, ABSENT COUNCILMEN: ABSTAINING COUNCILMEN: LE ° ~ of the Council of the City of Bakersfield APPROVED this 23r' day of March, 1970 APPROVED: CITY ATT~
