HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 16-70RESOLUTION N0. 16-70 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO TAKE SUCH ACTION AS NECESSARY IN THE PROSECUTION OF A CIVIL ANTITRUST SUIT AGAINST CERTAIN AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURERS. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1.. That the Attorney General of California, or any of his authorized assistants or deputies, be authorized to take such action on our behalf and in our name, as, in his sole discretion, may be deemed a'ppropriate in the pre'paration, filing, service and 'prosecution of a Civil Antitrust Suit for damages and other legal recovery against certain automobile manufacturers for conspiring to retard the introduction of smog control devices in the State of California; and 2.
