HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 10-70RESOLUTION NO. 10-70 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "PANORAMIC HEIGHTS NO. 3 -- PARCEL NO. 1", PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, a 'petition was filed with the Council of the City of Bakers field requesting that certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and incorporated within the City of Bakersfield; and WHEREAS, said 'petition was signed by the owners of not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land in such territory, and representing not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of such territory according to the last 'preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of Kern. NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the 'provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows: Parcel No. 1 A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California and being a portion of the SE 1/4 of Section 10, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.B.& M. Beginning at the 'point of intersection of the north line of south 180 feet of said Section 10 with the west line of the E 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 10, said intersection being also a point on the corporate boundary Of the City of Bakersfield as defined by Ordinance No. 1792, New Series; Thence (1) northerly, departing from said corporate boundary, along the last named west line to intersect the north - -~I'f~'0f ~he-S-~/2 of the SW l'~4'6f"th~'~E-174'0~-sai-d .... ' Section 10; Thence (2) easterly along the last named north line to inter- sect the west line of the east 550 feet of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 10; Thence (3) northerly along the last named west line to a 'point which lies 400 feet south of the north line of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 10, as measured along said last named west line, said point being also a point on the corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield as defined by said Ordinance No. 1792, New Series; Thence (4) southeasterly, westerly, southerly and westerly along courses 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the last named corporate boundary to intersect the west line of the E 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 10, being the 'point of beginning, containing 5.14 ac~es, more or less. That a designation ap'propriately naming such territory is "PANORAMIC HEIGHTS NO. 3 -- Parcel No. 1".
