A RESOLUTION FINDING THAT CERTAIN WEEDS
GROWING ON PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CONSTITUTE A PUBLIC NUISANCE
AND DIRECTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS
TO DESTROY SAID WEEDS.
WHEREAS, on Monday, June 10, 1974, a public hearing was
held before the City Council in order to determine if the weeds on
the properties in the City of Bakersfield, designated on the attached
list marked "ExhibitA," had become a public nuisance; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property were duly notified
of the time and place of said hearing in accordance with the
requirements of Section 8.80 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property being duly noticed
had an opportunity to appear before the Council and be heard on
this matter, and ample opportunity was allowed said property owners
to remove or cause said weeds to be removed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the City Council finds and determines that the weeds
existing upon the properties named on the attached list (Exhibit A)
constitute a public nuisance.
SECTION 2.
That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Bakersfield is hereby directed to proceed with the work of abating
said public nuisance pursuant to the provisions of Section 8.80 of

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the f~regoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 10th day of June, 1974, by the following

RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 'OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF
THE DEDICATION OF VEHICULAR ACCESS RIGHTS
FROM LOTS 1, 2, 3, AND 5 OF TRACT 2523,
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of May, 1974, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 897, declaring its intention to order
the abandonment of the dedication of vehicular access rights from
Lots 1, 2, 3, and 5 of Tract 2523, situate within the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed abandonment,
which said hearing was held on the 10th day of June, 1974, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That that certain dedication of vehicular access
rights from Lots 1, 2, 3 and 5 of Tract 2523, situate within the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, as
recorded in Book 12 of Maps, Page 34 in the Office of the County
Recorder, County of Kern, State of California, is unnecessary for
present or prospective' public street purposes.
2. That said dedication. of vehicular access rights be
and the same is hereby released, surrendered and abandoned for all

No. 897. Reference to said resolution is hereby made for further
particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
