RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR
CONTRIBUTION OF PART OF THE COST 0F EXPENSES
OF CERTAIN WORK COMPLETED IN PUBLIC IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT NO. 889.
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Bakersfield, C~lifornia, has heretofore, on the llth day of April,
1974, made and filed with the City Clerk an assessment and diagram
for that certain work done under and pursuant to the Improvement
Act of 1911 (cor~f~encing at Section 5000, Streets and Highways Code),
and in Resolution of Intention No. 889; and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of this City Council, it is
desirable to provide for a contribution by said City of a part
of the cost of expenses of said work, which contribution is authori-
zed by Section 5125 of the Streets and Highways Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
Does Hereby Resolve, Determine and Order as follows:
1. A contribution in the amount of One Thousand Six
Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars and Thirty-Sne Cents ($1,696.31) towards
the total cost of the expense of said work is hereby provided for
and ordered to be made by the City of Bakersfield. Said amount,
together with incidental expenses (including engineering and legal
expenses, printing, publication and posting and mailing notices and
preparing the assessment) in the amount of Ten Thousand Four Hundred
Nine Dollars and Sixty-~five Cents ($10,409.65.) shall be deducted
from the total cost and expense of said work and the remainder of
said cost and expense shall be assessed upon the several lots and

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on Monday, the 3r~ day of jun~,1974, by the
following vote:
