HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 38-74RESOLUTION NO. 38-74 A RESOLUTION ANNEXING TO THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE DISTRICT THAT PORTION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIG- NATED AS "PANORAMA NO. 1" NOT ALREADY INCLUDED WITHIN SAID DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did, on the llth day of February, 1974, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 12-74, to include within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District that portion of certain territory designated as "Panorama No. 1" not already included within said District, and did set the time and place f6r hearing objections to the inclusion of said territory within said District; and WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and legally published once a week for two weeks, the first publication thereof being at least twenty days prior to the date of the hearing as provided by law; and WHEREAS, Monday, the 25th day of March, 1974, at the hour of 8 P. M., was set as the time for hearing objections to the inclusion of said territory within said District; and WHEREAS, no objection has been filed or presented to said Council to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and the Council futher finds that all of said territory will be bene- fited by its inclusion within said District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND THE COUNCIL DOES HEREBY FIND: That no objection to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, has been filed or presented to this Council. That said territory and every part thereof be, and the same is hereby annexed to and included within the said Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District upon completion of annexa- tion of said territory to the City of Bakersfield, which said territory is described as follows: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, and being a portion of the west half of Section 14, T.29 S., R.28 E., M.D.B.& M. Beginning at the north one-quarter corner of said Section 14, said quarter corner being on the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence (1) departing from said Corporate Boundary, southerly along the east line of the west one-half of said Section 14 to intersect the south line of the north 45 feet of the southwest one-quarter of said Section; Thence (2) westerly along last-named south line to intersect the west line of the east one-half of the west one-half of said Section 14, said last-named west line being in the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence (3) northerly, and along the various courses of said Corporate Boundary to the point of beginning.
