RESOLUTION NO. 34-74
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CONSENTING TO RELINQUISHMENT OF
A PARCEL OF STATE HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY ALONG
WHITE lANE AT THE ROUTE 99/WHITE LANE INTER-
CHANGE 06-KER-99-2l.08, NO. 79356.
WHEREAS, the State of California is the owner, in fee,
of a parcel of State highway right-of-way along White Lane at the
Route 99/White Lane Interchange, as said parcel is shown outlined
in red on the map labeled Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made a
part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the State has revised the access restriction
requirements along White Lane; and
WHEREAS, that portion of State highway right-of-way
which is beyond the limits of access restriction of Route 99
should properly be under the jurisdiction of the City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the City agrees to accept title to said right-
of-way, as shown outlined in red on said Exhibit "A," upon relin-
quishment by the State.
2. That the City does hereby waive the 90-days' notice
requirement of intention of the State to relinquish said right-oE-
way as provided in Section 73 of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California.
3. That the City Clerk is directed to forward two
certified copies of this resolution to the State of California,
Department of Transportation, District 06, P. O. Box 1352, Fresno,
California 93715.
