A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD'MAKING FINDING CONCERNING
PROPOSED SUBDIVISION: TENTATIVE TRACT
NO. 8714, LOCATED NORTH OF STOCKDALE
HIGHWAY, SOUTH OF THE CARRIER CANAL
AND WEST OF PARK STOCKDALE.
WHEREAS, Section 11526 (c) of the Business and Professions
Code (Subdivision Map Act) states that a city shall not approve a
tentative or final subdivision map unless the City Council of such
city shall find that the proposed subdivision, together with the
provisions for its design and improvements, is consistent with the
general plan and applicable s~cific plans of the city; and
WI{EREAS the City Planning Commission, on May 1
19 74 did make the finding required by the above statute and recom-
mended that the City Council make such finding; and'
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission, on May 1 ,
~19 74 approved the tentative map of Tract No. 3714 conditioned

on the making of the appropriate finding by the City Council under
said Section 11526 (c); and
WHEREAS, a copy of said tentative map, together with the
Planning staff report and other related papers and documents have
been filed with this City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
1. It is hereby found and determined that the proposed
subdivision designated Tract No. 8714 together with-the pro-

-visions for-its design and improvement~ is
general plan and applicable specific plans of the City of Bakersfield.

2. That a copy of this Resolution be forthwith trans-
mitted to the Planning Department by the City Clerk.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 6th day of May , 19 74

Water supply to be provided to the satisfaction of the fire chief of the
City Fire Depar'tment, and fire hydrant locations as shown [n RED.
Easements to be provided to the satis~action of the city engineer,
Drainage to be provided to the satisfaction of the city engineer,
Soils report with minimum data in accordance with Ordinance 1618 N. S,,
(Res, 38-66),
No building permit on any lot within'the tract shall be issued or be valid
until the final soil report for this tract has been filed with the building
director and the city engineer and certified by the engineer on the final
recorded map, Where the final soil report has not been completed until ·
after the recording of the final map, a separate certificate signed and
issued by the city engineer must be recorded with the Courtly Recorder
of Kern County be~ore-a building permit may be issued,
Prov[si. ons to be m,~de for adequate fire protection to the satisfaction
of t?~e fire chief of the City Fire Department.
Curb, gutter, sidewalk and street paving to be installed to city standards,
[n the event that Tentatave Tract No. 3715 is not developed prior to
Tentative Tract 3714, that portion of Saddleback Drive adjacent to
Tract 3714, [s to be dedicated and improved to city standards~ a turn-
around area on the west is to be provided and graded for drainage.
