HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 26-74RESOLUTION NO. 26-74 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF. BAKERSFIELD SUPPORTING SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 77, PASSED BY THE CALIFORNIA STATE SENATE ON FEBRUARY 6, 1974. WHEREAS, Senate Resolution 77 relates to an investigation undertaken by the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California into the subject of the interconnection of miscellaneous customer-provided devices to the facilities of telephone utilities; and WHEREAS, the Senate has requested that in order that the public interest be served, the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California be provided full assurance that there will be no adverse effect on telephone rates applicable to the general public, particularly to low-income individuals and small businesses. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: That the City Council agrees with the concern expressed by the California State Senate in Senate Resolution 77.
