A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL
PROPERTY WITHIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS
"PANORAMA NO. 1," PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the
City of Bakersfield on the 24th day of December, 1973, requesting
that certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to
and incorporated within the City of Bakersfield; and
.WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owne~of not
less than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land ~in such territory,
and representing not-less thaD one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed
value of such territory according to the last preceding equalized
assessment roll of the County of Kern.
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as
amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
as follows:
That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California,
and being a portion of the west half of Section 14, T.29 S., R.28 E.,
M.D.B.& M.
Beginning at the north one-quarter corner of said Section 14, said
quarter corner being in the Corporate Boundary of the City of
Bakersfield;
Thence (1) departing from said Corporate Boundary, southerly along
the east line of the west one-half of said Section 14 to intersect
the south line of the north 45 feet of the southwest one-quarter
.of said Section;
Thence (2) westerly along last-named south line to intersect the
-west line of the east one-half of the west one-half of said
Section 14, said last-named west line being in the Corporate
Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (3) northerly, and along the various courses of said
Corporate Boundary to the point of beginning.
Containing 78.13 acres, more or less.
That a designation appropriately naming such territory
is "Panorama No. 1."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Monday, the '25th day of
M~ r ~ h , 1974, at the hour of 8 P. M., in the Council Chambers
of the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is
the time when and the place where any person owning real property
within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having any
objections to the proposed annexation may appear before the Council
of the City of Bakersfield and show cause why such territory should
not be annexed.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the llth day of February, 1974, by the
following vote:
