~')OLUTION OF THE COUNCIL 0F THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF "K" STREET BETIvEEN TRUXTUN
AVENUE AND l7TIl STREET IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of December, 1972, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provi~ions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941,11 being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cal~fornia, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 885, declaring its intention
to order the vacation of a portion 'of lIKlI Street between Truxtun
Avenue and 17th Street, City of Bakersfield, California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 15th day of January, 1973, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and

WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
~oes hereby find and'resolve as follows:
1. That that portion of "K" Street between Truxtun
Avenue " and 17th Street, situate in the City of Bakersfield, County
of Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows,
is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes:
A parcel of land situate in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Ke1n, State of Califo~ia, being a portion
of Section 30, T.29 S., R.28 E., H.D.B.& M. and more
particularly described as follows:
All that portion of "K" Street of 82.5 feet in width,
between Block 286 and Block 287 and between the north
right-af-way line of Truxtun Avenue, formerly Railroad
Avenue and the south right-of-way line of 17th Street,
as said streets and blocks are shown on the Official
Map of the City of Bakersfield, filed on the 25th day
of November, 1898 in the records of t~e County ~
Recorder's Office of the County of Kern.

Reserving therefrom, the west 24 feet of the east
41.25 feet of the north 118 feet of said portion
of "K" Street and the E~ of said portion of "K11
Street lying south of the south line of the north
118 feet for public utilities purposes.
2. That said portion of "K11 Street bet\veen Truxtun
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.
