HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 81-73 RESOLUTION N0. 81-73.. RESOLUTION ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "STOCKDALE N0. 8"-' TO THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did, on the 27th day of August, 1973, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 69-73, to include certain property designated as "Stockdale No. 8" within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, setting the time and place for hearing objections to the inclusion of said territory within said District; and WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and legally published once a week for two weeks, the first publication thereof being at least twenty days prior to the date of the hearing as pro- vided by law; and WHEREAS, Monday, the 1st day of October, 1973, at the hour of 8 P. M., was set as the time for hearing objections to the inclusion of said territory within said District; and WHEREAS, no objection has been filed or presented to said Council to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and the Council further finds that all of said territory will be benefited by its inclusion within said District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND THE COUNCIL DOES HEREBY FIND: That no objection to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, has been filed or presented to this Council. That said territory and every part thereof be, and the same is hereby annexed to and included within the said Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District upon completion of annexa- tion of said territory to the City of Bakersfield, which said territory is described as follows: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, being a portion of Sections 32 and 33, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M..and portions of Sections 4, 5, 8 and 9, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M. and more particularly described as follows: Beginning ~t the intersection'of the nozth line of the south 30. f'eet of said Section9, with the east line o£ said Section 9, said inter- section beingiin the Corporate Boundary!~of the City of Bakersfield; Thence (1) departing from said Corporate Boundary, westerly along the last named north line, to intersect the west line ~f the SE 1/4'of said Section 9; Thence (2) northerly, along the last named west line, to intersect the southeast corner of the northwest 1/4 of said Section 9; Thence-(3) westerly, along the south line of the ~ 1/4 of said Section 9, and along the-south line of the northeast 1/4 of said Section 8, 4019 feet, more or less to intersect the east right-of-way line of the Arvin-Edison Water Storage District Canal, as said canal right-of-way is defined in Parcel 1C-1 of that certain'Order of Condemnation Recorded in Book 3840, at Page 291 Official Records of said Kern ~ounty; ' Thence (4) as per description of said Parcel 1C-l, along the following 14 courses, N 2°03'11"E, along the east right-of-way line of said canal, 1619.04 feet, more or less tO the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the west, with a radius of 1060 feet; ThenCe (5) northerly, along said curve, through a central angle of l°09'30'', an arc length of 21.43 feet, to the end pointlof 'said- curve; Thence (6) N 0°53'41"E, 371.71 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, .concave to the east, with a radius of 940 feet; Thence (7) northerly, along said curve, through a central angle of 0°51'03'', an arc length of 13.96 feet, to the end point of said curve; Thence ,(8) N 1°44'41"E, 964.18 feet; Thence (9) S 88° 15 ' 19"E, 25.00 feet to the beginning of a nontangent curve, concave to the west, the radial center of said curve bears N 88° 15 ' 19'~, 1085 feet; Thence (10) northerly~ along said cu~,ze, through. a ~.entral angle ~f 5~00'00'', an arc i. eng~h of 94.68 feet, to the end point of said cur~e; Thence (11) N 3°15'19'~, 199.52 feet, to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the east, with a radius of 915 feet; Thence (12) northerly, along said curve, through a central angle of 5° 00 ' 00", an arc length of 79.85 feet, to the end point of said curve; Thence (13) N 1°44'41'~, 295.78 feet, to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the west, with a radius of 1085 feet; Thence (14) northerly, along said curve, through a central angle of 1~10'30'', an arc length of 22.25 feet, to the end point of said curve; Thence (15) N 0~34'11"E, 1808.10 feet, to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the east, with a radius of 915 feet; Thence (16) northerly, along said curve, through a central angle of 2°15'00", an arc length of 35.93 feet, to the end point of said curve; Thence (17) N 2°49'11"E, 2505.07 feet, more or less, to intersect the north right-of-way line of Stockdale Highwa , of 110 feet in width, said point of intersection bears N 89°05'22~ 0 more , 1156. feet, or less and N 2°49'11"E, 80.04 feet, more or less from the northeast corner of said Section 5, said point of intersection being also in the Corporate Boundaryof the City of Bakersfield; Thence (18) easterly, and along the various courses of the said Corporate Boundary to intersect the northwest corner of that certain property designated as Parcel 2 in a deed recorded in Book 246, at Page 382 Official Records, said northwest corner being S 00°10'39"E, 2923.92 ~eet and S 82°12'00"E, 764.75 feet from the northeast corner of said Section 5; ' Thence (19) departing from said Corporate Boundary, S 15°30'00"E, along the west line of said Parcel 2, 892.00 feet to the southwest corner thereof; Thence (20) S 82°03'00"E, along the south line of last named parcel, 1484.18 feet; Thence (21) S 0°38'00"E, 560.85 feet, to intersect the southwesterly prolongation of the southerly line of Tract No. 1816, recorded in Book 9 of Maps, at Page 9, records of said Kern County; Thence (22) N 71°58'50"E, along the last named southwesterly prolonga- tion and southerly line of said Tract 1816, 188.46 feet, to intersect the east line of the SW 1/4 of said Section 4, said point of inter- section being in the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence (23) southerly, and along the various courses of said Corporate Boundary, to the point of beginning.
