RESOLUTION ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS "STOCKDALE NO. 6" TO THE
GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did, on
the 9th day of July, 1973, pass'its Resolution of Intention No. 53-73,
to include certain property designated as "Stockdale No. 6" within
the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, setting the
time and place for hearing objections to the inclusion of said
territory within said District; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and legally
published once a week for two weeks, the first publication thereof
being at least twenty days prior to the date of the hearing as
provided by law; and
WHEREAS, Monday, the 13th day of August, 1973, at the
hour of 8 P. M., was set as the time for hearing objections to the
inclusion of said territory within said District; and
WHEREAS, no objection has been filed or presented to said
Council to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof within
the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and the Council
further finds that all of said territory will be benefited by its
inclusion within said District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE'IT RESOLVED AND THE COUNCIL DOES HEREBY
FIND:
That no objection to the i~clusion of said territory or
any part thereof within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade
District, has been filed or presented to this Council.
That said territory and every part thereof be, and the
same is hereby annexed to and included within the said Greater
Bakersfield Separation of Grade District upon completion of
annexation of said territory to the City of Bakersfield, which said
territory is described as follows:
A parcel of land, situate in the County of Kern, State of California,
and being a portion of the west one-half of Section 15, Township 30
South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M.
Beginning at the intersection of the east line of the west half of
said Section 15 with the north right-of-way line of the Southern
Pacific Railroad, Buttonwillow Branch, said intersection being
northerly, along last said east line 91.49 feet, more or less from
the south quarter corner of said Section 15, said intersection being
a point in the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (1) departing from said Corporate Boundary, westerly along
last said north right-of-way line, to intersect the west line of
said Section 15, said last intersection being northerly 83.71 feet
more or less, as measured along last said west line, from the south-
west corner of said Section 15;
Thence (2) northerly, along the west line of said Section 15, to
intersect the south line of the north 30 feet of said Section 15,
said last named south line being the south right-of-way line of
Fraser Road, 60 feet in width and also being a line in the Corporate
Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (3) easterly and southerly, along.the various courses of the
said Corporate Boundary, to intersect the north right-of-way line of
the Southern Pacific Railroad and the point of beginning.
Containing 312.87 acres, more or less.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 13th day of August, 1973, by the follow-
ing vote:
