RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE
GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE DISTRICT,
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "STINE NO. 3," AND
SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS
TO THE INCLUSION OF SAID TERRITORY WITHIN SAID
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been commenced for the
annexation of certain unincorporated territory, designated as
"Stine No. 3," to the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, all of said territory lies outside the Greater
Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and
WHEREAS, Section 8290 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, provides that the unincorporated
territory of a county which was not included within a separation
of grade district at the time of the formation of such district,
and which subsequent to the formation of such district is annexed
to or otherwise included within a city which is a part of such
district, shall immediately upon such annexation to such city be
included within the district and shall thereafter become a part
of the district to the same extent as such city; except such portion
or portions thereof which the City Council has determined, will
not be benefited by inclusion in the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
1. That a description of the unincorporated territory
described in the annexation proceedings, is as'follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California,
and being a portion of Sections 14, 15, 22, 23 and 24, T.30 S.,
R. 27 E., M.D..B.& M., and more particularly ~escribed as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the north right-of-way
line of the Asphalto Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad as
said north right-of-way line is described in that certain deed
recorded October 21, 1893 in Deed Book 47, Page 356, Official
Records of said Kern County, with the west line of the SE 1./4 of
the SE 1/4 of said Section 15, said last named point of intersection
being on the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield as defined
by Ordinance No. 1799 N.S.
Thence (1) easterly, northerly and easterly along courses 53, 54 and
55 of said last named Corporate Boundary to intersect the west line
of the east 30.00 feet of the SE 1/4 of said Section 14, said last
named west line being also the west right-of-way line for Wible
Road, 60.00 feet in width;
Thence (2) departing from said Corporate Boundary, southerly,
79.95 feet, more or less, along said last named west line to inter-
sect the north line of the south 1243.00 feet of the SE 1/4 of said
Section 14;
Thence (3) westerly along said last named north line to intersect
the west line of the east 1080.00 feet of the SE 1/4 of said Section
14;
Thence (4) southerly along said last named west line to intersect
the north line of the south 493.00 feet of the SE 1/4 of said
Section 14;
Thence (5) westerly along said last named north line to intersect
the west line of the east 1878.23 feet of the SE 1/4 of said Section
14;
Thence (6) southerly along said last named west line and the
southerly projection thereof to intersect the south line of the
north 30.00 feet of the NE 1/4 of said Section 23, said last
named south line being also the north right-of-way line for Pacheco
Road, 60.00 feet in width;
Thence (7) easterly along said last named south line and easterly
along the south line of the north 30.00 feet of the NW 1/4 of said
Section 24 to intersect the east line of the west 30.00 feet of
'said Section 24, said last named east line being also the east
right-of-way line of Wible Road, 60.00 feet in width;
Thence (8) southerly alon said last named east line to intersect
the south line of the N 1~2 of the SW 1/4 oflsaid Section 24;
Thence (9) westerly along said last named south line and westerly
along the south line of the N 1/2 of the S 1/2 of said Section 23
to intersect the west line of the east 45.00 feet of the NE 1/4 of
the SW 1/4 of said Section22, said last named west line being also
the west right-of-way line of Akers Road, ultimately 90.00 feet in
width;
Thence (10) northerly along said last named west line to intersect
the south line of the north 30.00 feet of the S 1/2 of said Section
- 23, said last named south line being also the south right-of-way
line for Harris Road, 60.00 feet in width;
Thence (11) easterly along said last named south line to intersect
the west line of the E 1/2 of the W 1/2 of the E 1/2 of said Section
23; '
Thence (12) northerly along said last named west line to intersect
the south line of the N 1/2 of the N 1/2 of said Section 23;
Thence (13) westerly along said last named south line to intersect
the east line of the west 30.00 feet of said Section 23, said last
named east line being also the east right-of-way line for Stine
Road, 60.00 feet in width;
Thence (14) southerly along said last named east line to intersect
the south line of the north 30.00 feet of the N .1/2 of the SW 1/4
of said Section 23, said last named south line being also the south
right-of-way line for Harris Road, 60.00 feet in width;
Thence (15) S 89°41'46"E, 1850.00 feet, along said last named south
line to a point on the westerly boundary of Tract 3314 as said
Tract 3314 is shown on that map recorded February 27, 1970, in Book
18 at pages 196 and 197 in the Official Records of said Kern County;
Thence (16) along said last named westerl~ boundary the following
three courses as per said Tract 3314, S 0 01'18'~ 1055.00 feet;
Thence (17) N 89°41'46'~ 20.299 feet;
Thence (18) S 0°01'18'~ 237.816 feet, to a point in the south line
of the N 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of said Section 23, said last named
point being the southwest corner of said Tract 3314;
Thence (19) westerly 3149.70 feet, more or less, along said last
named south line and westerly along the south line of the NE 1/4
of the SE 1/4 of said Section 22 to the west line of the El/2 of
the E 1/2. of said Section 22;
Thence (20) northerly along said last named west line and northerly
along the west line of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 15
to the point of beginning, containing 568.76 acres of land, more
or less.
2. That unless any portion shall be excluded by the
City Council, all portions of said unincorporated territory shall
upon annexation to the City of Bakersfield be included within the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District.
3. That Monday, the 17th day of September, 1973, at the
hour of 8 P..M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501
Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the
place where objections to inclusion within the district will be
heard.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing, Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of July, 1973, by the following
vote:
