RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF STINE ROAD BETWEEN WILSON
ROAD AND NEW STINE ROAD IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of February, 1973, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 887, declaring its intention to order
the vacation of a portion of Stine Road between Wilson Road and New
Stine Road, City of Bakersfield, California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 12th day of March, 1973, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That that portion of Stine Road between Wilson Road
and New Stine Road situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows,
is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes:
A parcel of land situate in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, being a portion
of the southeast quarter of Section 10, Township 30
South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M. and being a portion
of the southwest quarter of Section 11, Township 30
South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M. and more particularly
described as follows:
All that portion of County Road No. 157, declared a public
road on September 11, 1894 per Minute Book 6, Page 449,
Records of Board of Supervisors and County Road No. 1782
described in that certain Road Easement recorded in
Official Records of Kern County, Book 2611, Page 453
and Parcel 1 of that certain Road Easement recorded
in Book 2646, Page 102, Official Records of Kern
County, lying southerly of the south line of the
north 45 feet of the southwest quarter of said Section
11 and northeasterly of the following described line,
being the northeasterly right-of-way line of New Stine
Road:
Commencing at the southwest corner of said Section 11,
thence along the west line of Section 11, N 0°04'41'~.,
952.753 feet to a point on the center line of said
New Stine Road as described in that certain Road
Easement recorded in Official Records of Kern County,
Book 4625, Pages 467 and 468, thence N 89°55'19"E,
55.00 feet to the true point of beginning of the line
herein described; thence, from a tangent which bears
N 0°04'41'~, northerly along a curve concave to the
west with a radius of 2755 feet, through a central
angle of 20°30'13'' for an arc length of 985.89 feet;
Excepting and reserving therefrom all of said portion
of road for public utility easement purposes.
2. That said portion of Stine Road between Wilson Road
and New Stine Road be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and
abandoned for public street purposes subject to and in conformity with
said Resolution of Intention No. 887. Reference to said Resolution
of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in'the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was' passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
