RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ESTIMATES OF COST,
DISTRICT MAP AND DIAGRAM IN THE MATTER OF
THE PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 889.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield
found and determined that the filed petition requesting
the improvement work hereinafter described, was signed by
the owners of over sixty (60%) percent in area of the property
subject to the assessment for the proposed work and construc-
tion, as evidenced by Resolution No. 20-73, adopted by said
Council on the 26th day of March, 1973; and
WHEREAS, said City Council proposes to adopt its
Resolution of Intention expressing its intention to undertake
proceedings under the Improvement Act of 1911, for the con-
struction of said improvements as requested in the petition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of
the City of Bakersfield that the City Engineer (Superintendent
of Streets) of said City be and is hereby ordered to prepare
the estimates of cost, diagram, map of the district to be
benefited, and the plans and specifications for the following
improvement work and construction to be done in said City of
Bakersfield, to~wit:
The construction of required curb and gutter,
cross gutters, sidewalk, driveways and necessary
drainage facilities and all necessary earthwork
for said construction along Cherry Street and
Dracena Street, between Pine Street and Beech
Street; and along a portion of Beech Street,
Myrtle Street and Pine Street between Palm
Street and Chester Lane.
All of the above improvement work and construction
shall be of the size and dimension, and will be done in the
manner and places and to the grade shown and indicated on
the plans and specifications hereinafter to be approved and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 26th day of March,
1973, by the following vote:
