ARESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ADOPTING
THE PUBLIC SERVICES AND FACILITIES
ELEMENT OF THE BAKERSFIELD METRO-
POLITAN AREA GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, Section 65303 of the Government Code of
the State of California authorizes the inclusion in the
General Plan of a Public Services and Facilities Element,
showing general plans for sewerage (wastewater systems)
storm drainage and water supply, and rights-of-way, easements
and facilities for them; and
WHEREAS, such Public Services and Facilities
Element, consisting of text and approximately 25 maps bound
together as one document, has been prepared and placed. on
file in the Office of the City Clerk and the Planning
Department for inspection by the public; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on February 7,
1973, by its Resolution No. 1-73 , approved said Public
Services and Facilities Element, after Notice and hearing as
required by law; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of
Sections 65351 and 65355 of the Government Code, due Notice
of the time and place of a public hearing before the City
Council was given; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held and conducted a public
hearing, in every respect in accordance with the published
notice and the law, on March 12, 1973, for the purpose of
hearing any person desiring to be heard on the matter of
the adoption of the Public Services and Facilities Element
of the Bakersfield Metropolitan Area General Plan.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows:
1. That the attached Public Services and Facilities
Element of the Bakersfield Metropolitan Area General Plan,
consisting of text and approximately 25 maps bound together
as one document, dated December, 1972, is hereby adopted.
2. That the Clerk of this Council shall endorse
in writing on said Public Services and Facilities Element
document to show that it was adopted by the City Council on
March 12, 1973.
3. That the Clerk of this Council shall forthwith
send an endorsed copy of the said adopted Public Services and
Facilities Element to the Planning Commission of the County
of Kern.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ReSolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 12th day of March,
1973, by the following vote:
