A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 7-72
ADOPTED ON MARCH 6, 1972, RELATING TO
AUTHORITY OF BUILDING DEPARTMENT TO CHARGE
FEES FOR MAINTAINING BUILDING PLANS FOR
LIFE OF BUILDING.
WHEREAS, Section 19850 of the Health and Safety Code
requires the building department of every city to maintain an
official copy, which may be on microfilm or other type of photo-
graphic copy, of the plans of every building, during the life of
such building, for which such department issued a building permit;
and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 7-72 .sets fees to be charged to
pay the expenses incurred by the Building Department in maintaining
the official copy of the plans in the amount of ten cents per sheet
for 8~" x 11" or smaller sheets and thirty cents per sheet for
larger sheets; and
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield City Building Department is
complying with the provisions of Section 19850, but is not using
microfilm or other type of photographic copy at this time; and
WHEREAS, at. the present time the Building Department has
sufficient space to maintain such official copy of plans and does
not incur extra expense in the maintenance of such plans.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED that Resolution
No. 7-72 be and is hereby rescinded.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 26th day of February , 1973, by the
following vote:
