A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT
OF FLOWAGE EASEMENTS IN LOT 16 OF SECTION
18, T.30 S., R.28 E., IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of January, 1973, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public
Service Easements Vacation Law," being Sections 50430 to 50445,
inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of California,
passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 886 declaring
its intention to order the abandonment of Flowage Easements in Lot
16 of Section 18, T.30 S., R.28 E., situate in the City of Bakers-
field, County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed abandonment
which hearing was held on the 29th day of January, 1973, after
Notices were duly published and posted as required by law. ~
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, DETERMINED AND
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield, State of
California, as follows:
1. That said flowage easements, hereinafter described,
are unnecessary for present or prospective public use. Said
easements, situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California, are described as follows:
Portions of the W 1/2 of Lot 16 of Section 18, T.30 S., R.28 E.,
M.D.B.& M. in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, as said Lot is shown on "Kern County Sales Map No. 1
of Lands of J. B. Haggin," filed in the Office of the County
Recorder of Kern County, California on May 3, 1889, said portions
being more particularly described as follows. For purposes of
these descriptions the west line of said Lot 16 is taken to be
coincident with the west line of said Section 18.
EASEMENT A
Commencing at the southwest corner of said Section 18; thence
N 00°00'26'~, along the west line of said Section, 624.20 feet
to the south line of that easement conveyed to Pacific Gas &
Electric Company in deed recorded February 24, 1948 in Book 1511,
Page 48 of Official Records of Kern County; thence S 82°46'56"E,
along said south line 116.93 feet; thence N 00° 00 '26'~, 151.20 feet
to the north line of said Pacific Gas & Electric easement; thence
along said north line S 82°46'56"E, 137.09 feet to the true point
of beginning; thence N 00°00'26'~, 548.58 feet to a point in the
south line of the north 30.00 feet of said Lot 16; thence N 89°
51'09"E, along last said line 40.00 feet; thence S 00°00'26"E,
553.76 feet to the north line of the aforesaid Pacific Gas &
Electric easement; thence N 82°46'56'~, along last said north line,
40.32 feet to the true point of beginning.
EASEMENT B
Co~LmLencing at the southwest corner of said Section 18; thence N
00°00'26'~, along the west line of said Section, 624.20 feet to
the south line of that easement conveyed to Pacific Gas & Electric
Company in deed recorded February 24, 1948 in Book 1511, Page 48 of
Official Records of Kern County; thence S 82°46'56"E, along said
south line 116.93 feet; thence N 00°00'26'~, 151.20 feet to the
north line of said Pacific Gas & Electric easement; thence along
said north line S 82°46'56"E 481.82 feet to the true point of
beginning; thence N 00~00'26 ~, 592.78 feet to a point in the south
line of the north 30.00 feet of said Lot 16; thence S 89°51'09'~,
along last said line 40.00 feet; thence S 00°00'26"E, 587.60 feet
to the north line of the aforesaid Pacific Gas & Electric easement;
thence S 82°46'56"E, along last said north line, 40.32 feet to the
true point of beginning.
2. That said flowage easements be and the same are
hereby abandoned, subject to and in conformity with said Resolution
of Intention No. 886. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is
hereby made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution, and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of Kern County, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 29th day of January, 1973, by the
following vote:
