A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
SEWER EASEMENT IN BLOCK 38 OF SOUTHERN
ADDITION, IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the llth day of September, 1972, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Public Service Easements Vacation Law," being Sections 50430 to
50445, inclusive, of the Government Code of th~ State of California,
passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 879 declaring
its intention to order the vacation of a sewer easement in Block
38 of Southern Addition, situate in the City of Bakersfield, County
of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vaca-
tion, which hearing was held on the 2d day of October, 1972, after
Notices were duly published and posted as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, DETERMINED AND
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield, State of
California, as follows:
1. That said sewer easement, hereinafter described, is
unnecessary for present or prospective public use. Said easement,
situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, is described. as follows:
A sewer easement situate in the City of Bakersfield,
~ County of Kern, State of California, being a portion
of Section 36, T. 29 S., R. 27 E., M.D.B.& M. and
more particularly described as follows:
The west 75.00 feet of the east 91.5 feet of Block
38, Southern Addition, on and along a line beginning

Street, thence easterly on a line parallel to the
center line of Dracena Street to the westerly line
of "H" Street all as shown upon the Official
Map of the City of Bakersfield, filed in the
office of the County Recorder of Kern County
California, November 25, 1898.
2. That said sewer easement be'and the same is hereby
vacated and abandoned, subject to and in conformity with said
Resolution of Intention No. 879. Reference to said Resolution
of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution, and shall cause a certified copy thereof,
attested by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded
in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 2d day of October, 1972,
by the following vote:
