HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 61-72RESOLUTION NO. 61-72 RESOLUTION ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "UNION AVENUE NO. 5" TO THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Council. of the City of Bakersfield did, on the 21s~ day of August, 1972, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 49-72, to include certain property designated as "Union Avenue No.5"'within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, setting the time and place for hearing objections to the inclusion of said territory within said District; and WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and legally published once a week for two weeks, the first publication thereof being at least twenty days prior to the date of the hearing as provided by law; and WHEREAS, Monday, the 2~th day of September, 1972, at the hour of 8 P. M., was set as the time for hearing objections to the inclusion of said territory within said District; and WHEREAS, no objection has been filed or presented to said Council to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and the Council further finds that all of said territory will be benefited by its inclusion within said District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND THE COUNCIL DOES HEREBY FIND: That no objection to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, has been filed or presented to this Council. same is hereby annexed to and included within the said Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District upon completion of annexation of said territory to the City of Bakersfield, which said territory is described as follows: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, being a portion of the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 19, T. 30 S., R. 28 E., M.D.B.& M., and being also a portion of "Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin," filed for record May 3, 1889 in the Office of the Cou=nty Recorder of said Kern County and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the south line of the NE 1/4 of the NE 174 of said Section 19 with the w~st line of the east 57.75 feet of said Section 19,~said intersection being the southeast corner of Lot 2 of said Section 19 of said Sales Map and also being a point on the west right-of-way line of Union Avenue, of 115.5 feet in width; Thence (1) westerly along the last named south line, 302.25 feet, more or less, to intersect the west line of the east 360 feet of said Section 19, said intersection being a point on the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence (2) northerly and easterly along said Corporate Boundary to intersect the west line of the east 57.75 feet of said Section 19, said intersection being the west right-of-way line of said Union Avenue. Thence (3) departing from said Corporate Boundary, southerly along the last named west line, 462 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
