Home My WebLink AboutRES NO 60-72RESOLUTION NO.- 60-72 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 57-71 CREATING A CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO KERN COG AND SETTING FORTH THE MEMBERSHIP THEREOF. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 57-71 the City Council created a Citizens' Advisory Committee to the Kern County Council of Govern- ments (KERN COG). WHEREAS, it is desirable to have a broader representation on that advisory committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. ~There is hereby established a Citizens' Advisory Committee for the City of Bakersfield to KERN COG. 2. The'Citizens' Advisory Committee shall be created as follows: a. One member appointed by each councilman and one member appointed by the Mayor of the City of Bakersfield. b. Four members appointed by the Council from representatives 6f the Department of Human Resources, the Kern County Housing Authority, the Kern County Equal Opportunity Corporation and from the school districts (elementary, high school or college). c. Voting ex officio members shall be three in number, appointed by the Council but selected from and by the membership of the City Council, the Planning Commission, and Redevelopment Agency of the City of Bakersfield. d. NonvOting ex officio members shall consist of the Director of Public Works, the Chief Building Inspector, the Auditorium and Recreation Director, and the Planning Director. 3. The membership herein shall serve at the pleasure of the Council for a period of two years. 4. The membership selected and holding office by virtue of Resolution No. 57-71 is hereby terminated. o0o I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 25th day of September, 1972, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN BLEECKER, HEISEY, MEDDERS, REES, RUCKER, THOMAS, WHITTEMORE NOES: COUNCILMEN: ABSENT COUNCILMEN~ ABSTAINING COUNCILMEN: Council of the City of Bakers field APPROVED:
