A RESOLUTION OF THE couNciL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DECLARING PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "KERN RIVER NO. 1"
INVALID AND TERMINATING THE PROCEEDINGS
ON SUCH GROUND.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on'
June 12, 1972, set the time for the hearing of protests by persons
owning real property within territory designated as "Kern River
No. 1," proposed to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield, for
July 24, 1972, by its Resolution No. 35-72; and
WHEREAS, said hearing commenced in accordance with said
Resolution and prior to the completion thereof, was continued until
August 14, 1972; and
WHEREAS, in reviewing the proceedings for annexation of
the territory designated as "Kern River No. 1," assigned by the
Kern County Local Agency Formation Commission as Proceeding No. 315,
it appeared that certain notices to property owners, were not duly
given as required by law and it further appeared that the territory
sought to be annexed and the boundaries thereof were not described
in the proceedings as required by law; and
WHEREAS, on the basis of'such review of the proceedings,
the Council desires to find and declare that they are therefore
invalid and to terminate such proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the recitals hereinabove made are true.
2. That it is hereby declared that Proceedings No. 315
for the annexation of territory designated as "Kern River No. 1,"
are invalid, and null and void, from the beginning thereof.
3. That such Proceedings No. 315 are hereby terminated.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the ~-th day of August, 1972,
