A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
AND ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1972-73.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Charter of the City of
Bakersfield and applicable ordinances, the City Manager and the
Finance Director of the City of Bakersfield have heretofore pre-
sented to the City Council of said City a proposed budget for the
fiscal year 1972-73; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did modify, Correct, amend, and
change said proposed budget for the fiscal year 1972-73; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were held in the Council Chambers
of the City of Bakersfield on the proposed budget for the fiscal year
1972-73; and
WHEREAS, said City Council has now considered the said
proposed budget as so submitted and all evidence at said public
hearing, with reference thereto, and has now made all changes and
amendments thereto which said City Council up to this time desires
to make therein; and
WHEREAS, the original of said proposed budget has now been
revised so as to reflect each and all of the amendments, changes, and
modifications which the said City Council up to the time of the
adoption of this resolution believes should be made in said proposed
budget as so submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the original of the said proposed budget for
the City of Bakersfield, California, for the'fiscal year'I9'72-73'
as so submitted, amended, modified, and corrected and which, as so
submitted, amended, modified, and corrected is now before this
Council, be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Bakersfield, California, open to public inspection, and
that as so on file the same be and it is hereby referred to and by
this reference expressly incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
2. That said City Council of the City of Bakersfield,
California, does hereby approve and adopt the said proposed budget
of the City of Bakersfield, California, for the fiscal year 1972-73
as so amended, modified, and corrected.
3. That the said budget for said fiscal year 1972-73 so
submitted, amended, modified, corrected, and filed shall be the
budget for the City of Bakersfield, California, for said fiscal
year 1972-73 as contemplated to be made by this Council under the
requirements of Section 53 of the Charter of said City.
4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and henceforth and hereafter, the same shall be in
full force and effect.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a budget meeting thereof held on the 21st day of June, 1972, by
the following vote:
