A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF LOTS
6, 7 AND 8, BLOCK 307, FOR CASH DOWN PAY-
MENT, BALANCE OF OBLIGATION EVIDENCED BY
NOTE SECURED BY TRUST DEED.
WHEREAS, the Civic Auditorium has a critical need for
additional storage space for equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Budget Review and Finance Committee has
recommended that the City purchase the real property adjacent to
the Civic Auditorium to assist in alleviating the storage problem.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by.the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the City purchase the property adjacent to the
Civic Auditorium, described as Lots 6, 7 and 8 of Block 307, City of
Bakersfield, and improvements located thereon, for the sum of $55,000.
2. That the terms of said purchase shall be $27,500 cash
and a promissory note in the amount of $27,500 payable on July 15, 1972,
to be secured by a 1st Deed of Trust.
3. That the.Mayor of the City of Bakersfield is hereby
authorized to sign and execute the promissory note and the deed of
trust described above on behalf of the City, and sign the Certificate
of Acceptance evidencing the acceptance of the real property to be
conveyed by deed and the consent to recordation thereof, all as
authorized by law.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day of March, 1972, by
the following vote:
