RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CALLING THE NOMINATING MUNICIPAL
ELECTION FOR THE OFFICE OF MAYOR AND SETTING
THE HOURS FOR THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF
POLLS FOR SAID ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ON THE 6TH DAY OF JUNE,
1972.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 20(J) of the City Charter,
the Nominating Municipal Election for the office of Mayor-of the
City of Bakersfield for the full term of four years, shall be held
concurrently with the State of California Direct Primary Election
and the Presidential Primary Election; and
WHEREAS, the State of California Direct Primary Election
and the Presidential Primary Election will be held on the 6th day of
June, 1972.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, that the Nominating Municipal Election for
the office of Mayor of the City of Bakersfield is hereby called
and will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 1972, and that the polls will
be held open for the purpose of holding said election on said 6th
day of June~ 1972, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 20th day of March, 1972, by the following
vote:
