Home My WebLink AboutRES NO 07-72RESOLUTION NO. 7-72- A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD CHARGING THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT WITH RESPONSIBILITY OF MAINTAINING BUILDING PLANS FOR LIFE OF BUILDING AND PRESCRIBING FEES WHICH DEPARTMENT IS AUTHORIZED TO CHARGE FOR SUCH SERVICE. WHEREAS, effective March 4, 1972, Chapter 10 (commencing with Section 19850) of Part 3, Division 13, of the Health and Safety Code, requires that the Building Department of every city shall maintain for the life of the building an official copy of the plans of every building for which such department issued a building permit except for certain specified plans which do not need to be filed. WHEREAS, such official copies of plans may be on micro- film or other type of photographic copy. WHEREAS, Section 19852 of the Health and Safety Code provides that the City Council may prescribe such fees as will pay the expenses incurred by the Building Department in maintaining the official copy of the plans of buildings for which it has issued a building permit. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: (1) Effective March 4, 1972, the Building Department is charged.with the responsibility of complying with the provisions of Section 19850 of the Health and Safety Code.
