A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD DECLARING THAT THE CITY IS
PROVIDING FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES WITHIN
ITS JURISDICTION AND DIRECTING FILING
THEREOF WITH THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
KERN COUNTY.
WHEREAS, under Section 25643 of the Government Code, every
city which provides its own fire protection services, and which prior
to March 1 of any year files with the Board of Supervisors a resolution
declaring that such city is providing fire protection services within
its jurisdiction, shall not be assessed during the following fiscal
year and any year thereafter for any portion of the costs of county
fire protection services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield does provide its own fire
protection services, and desires to make such declaration by resolution
to the end that such city should not be assessed during the 1972-1973
fiscal year or any year thereafter for any portion of County of Kern
fire protection services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That it is hereby found snd declared t'hat the City of
Bakersfield is providing fire protection services within its jurisdiction.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forthwith file
a certified copy of this Resolution with the Board of Supervisors of
Kern County, State of California.

· I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 17th day of January , 1972, by
the following vote:
