A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD TO INCLUDE A RADIO BROAD-
CASTING STUDIO AND OFFICE, EXCLUDING
EXTERNAL ANTENNAE FOR PURPOSE OF TRANS-
MITTING RADIO PROGRAMMING, TO THE LIST
OF PERMITTED USES IN A C-O (PROFESSIONAL
OFFICE) ZONE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield,
did, on the 5th day of January, 1972, pass a resolution finding that
the inclusion of an additional use, to wit: a radio broadcasting
studio and office, excluding external antennae for purpose of
transmitting radio programming, in a C-O (Professional Office) Zone,
would not be more obnoxious or detrimental to the welfare of the
community than the permitted uses specifically mentioned in Chapter
17.25 of Title Seventeen of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield has
considered said matter and does find that the inclusion of said
additional use in said zone will not be more obnoxious or detrimental
to the welfare of the corf~ftunity than the permitted uses specifically
mentioned in Chapter 17.25 of Title Seventeen of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 17.52,040 of Title
Seventeen of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, the Council of said
City does HEREBY RESOLVE that the additional use, to wit: a radio
broadcasting studio and office, excluding external antennae for
purpose of transmitting radio programming, be and the same is hereby
included as a specifically permitted use in a C-O (Professional Office)
Zone.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 10th day of January, 1972, by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN BLEECKER, HEISEY, MEDDERS, REES, RUCKER, THOMAS, WI41TTEMORE
