RESOLUTION NO.
84-71
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF LANGDON AVENUE EAST OF GRISSOM
STREET, IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, STATE
OF CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of November, 1971, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 866, declaring its intention
to order the vacation of a portion of Langdon Avenue east of Grissom
Street, City of Bakersfield, California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 29th day of November, 1971, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That that portion of Langdon Avenue east of Grissom
Street situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, more particularly described as follows, is unnecessary
for present or prospective public street purposes:
A parcel of land situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California, being a portion of Section 15, T. 30 S., R. 27
E., M.D.B.&M., said portion more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection 6f Langdon Avenue and Grissom Street, as
said streets are shown on Tract No. 3364 recorded on May 28, 1970
in Map Book 19 at Page 42 in the office of the County Recorder of
the County of Kern. Thence N 01003'35" E, 50.00 feet to a point on the
center line of Grissom Street. Thence S 88056'24" E, 30.00 feet to
a point on a radial curve with a radius of 20.00 feet concave to the
northeast, said point also being the true point of beginning, thence
southeasterly along said curve 31.42 feet to a point on the north
line of Langdon Avenue, thence S 01003'35" W, 60.00 feet to a point
on a radial curve with a radius of 20.00 feet concave to the south-
east, thence southwesterly along said curve 31.42 feet to a point
on the east line of Grissom Street, thence N 01003'35" E, 100.00 feet
to the true point of beginning.

2. That said portion of Langdon Avenue east of Grissom
Street be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned
for public street purposes subject to and in conformity with said
Resolution of Intention No. 866. Reference to said Resolution of
Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 29th day of November, 1971, by
the following vote:
