HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 80-71RESOLUTION NO. 80-71 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF 15TH STREET, IN THE CITY OF ~BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, on the 8th day of November, 1971, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 869, declaring its intention to order the vacation of a portion of 15th Street, City of Bakersfield, California; and WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation, which said hearing was held on the 22nd day of November, 1971, after notices were duly posted as required by law; and WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter, does hereby find and resolve as follows: 1. That that portion of 15th Street situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes: A parcel of land situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, being a portion of Section 30, T. 29 S., R. 28 E., M.D.B.& M., said portion more particularly described as follows: All that portion of 15th Street between the east right-of-way line of "Q" Street, and the west right-of-way line of "S" Street as said streets are shown on a map recorded in Book 1 of maps at pages 9 and 10 in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern. Excepting and reserving all of said 15th Street for Public Utilities Easement. ~pting an~ reserving 15.0Q fee~_n~h__o.f th~.cen.t~.r~line.of 15th Street and 15.00 feet south of the center line of 15th Street for ingress and egress of City emergency vehicles. 2. That said portion of 15th Street be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street. purposes subject to and in conformity with said Resolution of Intention No. 869. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars. 3.
