A'RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF PUBLIC
EASEMENTS IN THE ORA VISTA HOUSING PROJECT,
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of September, 1971, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Public Service Easements Vacation Law," being Sections 50430 to
50445, inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of California,
passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 868, declaring
its intention to order the vacation of public service easements,
also referred to herein as public utilities easements, in the Ora
Vista Housing Project, situate within the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation, which said hearing was held on the 18th day of October,
'1971, after notices were duly published and posted as required by
law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That said public service easements also referred to
herein as public utilities easements, 5 feet in width, hereinafter
described, ar~ unnecessary for present or prospective public use:
Situated in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, being a portion of
Section 32, Township 29 South, Range 28 East,
M.D.B. and M., more particularly described as
follows:
All of that particular Public Utilities Easement
of 5.00 feet in width,.b~tween the..east..~ine of
Owens Street and the west line of Robinson Street,
the north line of said Public Utilities Easement
being also the north boundary line of Tract No. 1333
as shown on map of said Tract No. 1333, filed April
9, 1947, in the office of the County Recorder of
Kern County, California, in Book 6 of Maps, page 24.
2. That said public service easements also referred to
herein as public utilities easements, 10 feet in width, hereinafter
described, are unnecessary for present or prospective public use:
Situated in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, being a portion of
Section 32, Township 29 South, Range 28 East,
M.D.B. and M., more particularly described as
follows:
· All of that particular Public Utilities Easement
of 10.00 feet in width, between Robinson Street
and Cottonwood Road, and between Eleventh Street
and Tenth Street, excepting and reserving that
portion of said Easement lying within Lots 53
and 54, as said Streets, Road, Public Utilities
Easement, and Lots, are shown on map of Tract No.
1301, filed May 28, 1946, in Book 5 of Maps, page
141, in the office of the County Recorder of Kern
County, California.
3. That said public service easements be and the same
are hereby vacated and abandoned for public service easement purposes,
subject to and in conformity with said Resolution of Intention
No. 868· Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made
for further particulars.
4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution, and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of Kern County, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of October, 1971, by
the following vote:
