RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF INYO STREET, IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of October, 1971, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941", being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 865, declaring its intention to order
the vacation of a portion of Inyo Street, City of Bakersfield,
California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 18th day of October, 1971, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That that portion of Inyo Street situate in the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more
particularly described as follows, is unnecessary for present or
prospective public street purposes:
A parcel of land situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, and being a portion of Section 20, T.
29 S., R. 28 E., M.D.M., said portion more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 17, Block 1 of the Alta
Vista Tract, as said Alta Vista Tract is shown on map filed January
29, 1923 in Book 3 of Maps at pages 71 and 72 in the office of the
County Recorder of the County of Kern;
Thence (1) along the north right-of-way line of Niles Street N
73°07'45'' W, 54.96.feet~
~he~ce'(2)'N 62°~8'30""w, 21.69 feet to intersect the south right-
of-way line of State Highway Route VI-Kern 178;
Thence (3) along said right-of-way line N 78025'54'' E, 86.74 feet
to intersect the west line of said Lot 17;
Thence (4) along said west line of Lot 17, S 16"52'16" W, 45.32 feet
to the southwest corner of Lot 17 and the point of beginning.
2. That said portion of Inyo Street be and the same is
hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes
subject to and in conformity with said Resolution of Intention
No. 865. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made
for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of October, 1971, by
the following vote:
