A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CREATING A CITIZENS ADVISORY
COMMITTEE TO KERN COG AND APPOINTMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Kern County Council of Governments
(Kern COG) is seeking to become certified as an area-wide
planninE organization, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for a Citizens Advisory
Committee to be established in order for Kern COG to become
certified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. There is 'hereby established a Citizens Advisory
Committee for the City of Bakersfield to Kern COG.
2. The Citizens Advisory Committee be comprised
of seventeen resident citizens of which two shall be appointed
by each Councilman of the City of Bakersfield and three shall
be appointed by the Mayor.
3. EaCh member shall serve for a period of two years
and shall serve at the pleasure of the Council-.
4. Non-voting ex-officio members shall consist of one
representative respectively from the City Council, the Planning
Commission, and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Bakersfield.
In addition, the Director of Public Works, the Chief Building
Inspector, the Auditorium-Recreation Director, and t'he Planning
Director shall also serve as non-voting ex-officio members.
5. Non-voting ex-officio members Shall serve during the
term Of their respective offices~

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of June,
1971, by the following vote:
