A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD DESIGNATING CERTAIN DAYS
AS HOLIDAYS FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD DURING THE FISCAL YEAR
1971-1972.
WHEREAS, the City Manager 'has submitted to the City
Council for approval a list of eight (8) eight (8)-hour holidays
to be observed during the coming fiscal year by eligible City
employees in accordance with Section 3.18,180(a) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that t'he holidays for employees of the City
of Bakersfield for the fiscal year 1971-1972, are as follows:
I.
For elibible employees of the transit division who
normally work six days a week:
(1) Independence Day
(2) Labor Day
(3) Veterans Day
(4) Thanksgiving
(5) Christmas Day
(6) New Year's Day
(7) Washington's Birthday
(8) Memorial Day
II.

December 25, 1971
January 1, 1972
February 21, 1972
May 29, 1972
For ~11 other eligible employees:

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of June,
