A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE .CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE
COLLECTION OF CASH ASSESSMENTS IN PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 854, CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, Joe C. Brown, Contractor, in the matter of
the construction of improvements as described and contemplated
by Resolution of Intention No. 854, adopted by the City Council
of the City of Bakersfield, on the 28th day of September, 1970,
has requested this City Council to direct by resolution that all
cash assessments (assessments of less than $50.00) be collected
upon the tax roll upon which general taxes for the City of
Bakersfield are collected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That all cash assessments of less than fifty dollars
($50.00) in the matter of the construction of those certain
~improvements as described and contemplated in Resolution of
Intention No. 854, shall be collected upon the tax roll upon
which general taxes for the City of Bakersfield are collected.
2. That attached to this resolution is a statement
containing a description of the properties so assessed, and the
amount of such assessments, all in accordance with Section 5451
of the Streets and Highways Code, which statement is incorporated
into this resolution and made a part hereof as if fully set forth
herein.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify
copies of this resolution and deliver same immediately to the
Kern County Auditor, Kern County Treasurer-Tax Collector,. and to
the City Finance Director.

Pursuant to Section 5451 of the Streets and Highways
Code and Resolution Providing for the Collection of Cash Assess-
ments in Public Improvement District No. 854, City of Bakersfield,
the following statement is made, containing a description of the
properties so assessed, the amount of such assessments, together
with interest thereon in accordance with law.

PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 854
REQUEST FOR COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS UPON THE
TAX ROLL UPON WHICH GENERAL TAXES ARE COLLECTED.
The undersigned contractor, Joe C. Brown, in the matter
of the improvements as described in Resolution of Intention No. 854
of the City of Bakersfield, adopted on the 28th day of September,
1970, does hereby request, pursuant to the provisions of Section
5450 of the Streets and Highways C~de of the State of California,
that the City Council of the City of Bakersfield, by resolution to
be adopted on or before the third Tuesday in September next succeed-
ing~ direct that all assessments of less than Fifty Dollars ($50)
levied for the improvement set forth in said Resolution of Intention
No. 854 be collected upon the tax roll upon which general taxes for
said City are collected.

4. That in accordance with Chapter 18.1, Division 7,
Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code, the Kern County Auditor
shall extend upon the tax roll the total amounts of such
assessments and interest.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the ?th day of June
1971, by the following vote:
