RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR
CONTRIBUTION OF PART OF THE COST OF
EXPENSES OF CERTAIN WORK COMPLETED IN
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 854.
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Bakersfield, California, has heretofore, on the 2nd day of April,
1971, made and filed with the City Clerk an assessment and diagram
for that certain work done under and pursuant to the Improvement
Act of 1911 (commencing at Section 5000, Streets and Highways Code),
and in Resolution of Intention No. 854; and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of this City Council, it is
desirable to provide for a contribution by said City of a part of
the cost of expenses of said work, which contribution is authorized
by Section 5125 of the Streets and Highways Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, ~he Council of the City of Bakersfield,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE and ORDER as follows:
1. A contribution in the amount of Four Thousand Six
Hundred Forty-Four Dollars ($4,644.00) towards the cost of the
expense of said work is hereby provided for and ordered to be
made by the City of Bakersfield. Said amount, together with
incidental expenses (including engineering and legal expenses,
printing, publication and posting notices and preparing the assess-
ment) in the amount of Four Thousand One Hundred Ninety-Eight
and 08/100 Dollars ($4,198.08) shall be deducted from the total
cost of expense of said work and the remainder of said cost and
expense shall be assessed upon the several lots and parcels of
land within Assessment District No. 854.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 26th day of April, 1971, by the follow-'
ing vote:
