RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS
THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD TO FILE AN APPLICATION FOR
STATE AND INCREASED FEDERAL GRANT FOR
SEWAGE TREATMENT WORKS.
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield desires to initiate a
request for a state grant and an increase in federal grant to the
maximum allowable amount; and
WHEREAS, the City Sewage Treatment Works is a project for
which a federal application has been submitted and said project has
been certified by the State.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Manager of the City of Bakersfield,
California, is hereby designated as the duly authorized representa-
tive of the City Council of said City to execute and file with the
California State Water Resources Control Board an application for
a State and Increased Federal Grant for Sewage Treatment Works
under the Clean Water Bond Law, 1970, and the Federal Water Pollution
Control Act.
2. The said City Manager is further authorized to sign
other supporting documents related to the application and is
authorized to furnish such additional information as the State
Water Pollution Control Board may require in connection with the
application or the project.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 12th day of April , 1971, by
the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN BLEECKER, HEISEY, RE~S, RUCKER, STIERN, VETIER, WHITrEMORE
NOES: COUNCILMEN;
