A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD TO INCLUDE A FLOOR COVERING
AND DRAPERY SHOP TO THE LIST OF PERMITTED
USES IN A C-1 (LIMITED COMMERCIAL) ZONE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield,
did, on the 3rd day of February, 1971, pass a resolution finding that
the inclusion of an additional use, to wit: a floor covering and
drapery shop in a C-1 (Limited Commercial) Zone, would not be more
obnoxious or detrimental to the welfare of the community than the
permitted uses specifically mentioned in Chapter 17.25 of Title
Seventeen of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield has con-
sidered said matter and does find that the inclusion of said additional
use in said zone will not be more obnoxious or~'detrimental to the
welfare of the corf~f~unity than the permitted uses specifically men-
tioned in Chapter 17.25 of Title Seventeen of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code, and
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 17.52.040 of Title
Seventeen of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, the Council of said
City does HEREBY RESOLVE that the additional use, to wit: a floor
covering and drapery shop, be and the same is hereby included as a
specifically permitted use in a C-1 (Limited Commercial) Zone.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 1st day of March, 1971, by the following
vote:
