RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CONSENTING TO THE CONTINUED IN-
CLUSION WITHIN COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 2
OF CERTAIN TERRITORIES PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED
AS "AIRPARK NO. 1."
WHEREAS, County Service Area No. 2 was created to
provide specific advertising services within its boundaries, and
WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 35-64
consented to the inclusion within County Service Area No. 2 of
that portion of the City along Union Avenue which would specifi-
cally benefit by its services, and
WHEREAS, by operation of Government Code Section
25,210.90 that area now within County Service Area No. 2 upon
the effective date of annexation to the City of Bakers field as a
part of '~irpark No. 1", would automatically be excluded from
the County Service Area unless consent to its continued inclusion
is obtained, and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Fo~rmation Commission, having
found that the territory within County Service Area No. 2 is
specifically benefited whether located within the City or the
County, has expressly conditioned its approval of the "Airpark
No. 1" annexation upon the City Council% consenting to that portion
of subject territory now lying within County Service Area No. 2
remaining as an integral part of the area as originally formed in
1964.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Bakersfield consents to the continued inclusion within
County Service Area No. 2 of that portion of the "Airpark No. 1"
a~exation now lying within the boundaries of that Service Area as
originally formed in 1964.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of
this Resolution be forwarded and filed with the Clerk of the Board
of Supervisors of the County of Kern and with the Executive Officer
of the Local Agency Formation Commission.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 1st day of February, 1971, by the
following vote:
