A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD NOTIFYING.THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
THAT THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD DOES NOT WISH TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE SB 9616 DEFERRED PAYMENT
LOAN PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield,"recogni2ing the need
for a comprehensive housing rehabilitation program, applied for
SB 966 funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield's application for
certain SB 966 funds was approved; and
WHEREAS, it is determined that the costs to administer
this program would prove to be a burden on the City of Bakersfield
and local taxpayers, both financially and functionally.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield that it is hereby withdrawing from participation in
the SB 966'deferred loan program.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 4th day of June, 1980, by the following
vote:
