A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
ROYAL SCOTS WAY FROM PANORAMA DRIVE SOUTH
TO CHARGER AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of April, 1980, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted
its Reso'lution of Intention No. 946 declaring its intention to
order the vacation of Royal Scots Way from Panorama Drive south
to Charger Avenue, in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation which said hearing was held on the 30th day of April,
1980, after notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That Royal Scots Way from Panorama Drive south to
Charger Avenue, in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for present or
prospective public street purposes.
2. That Royal Scots Way from Panorama Drive south to
Charger Avenue, be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and
abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and in conformity
with the reservations and exceptions contained in and contemplated
by said Resolution of Intention No. 946. Reference to said
Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a'certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 30th day of April, 1980, by the following

Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 4 of"said Tract .3868. said
Southwest corner being a point in the East right of way line of Royal
Scotts Way and The True Point of Beginning for this description;

Royal Scotts Way a distance of 21.S1 feet to a point on a non-tangent
curve concave to the Southwest and having a radius of 90 feet;
1]tENCE'(2) Northwesterly along the last named curve through .a central
angle.of 33° 08' 31" an arc distance of 52.06 feet to a point on the
centerline of Royal Scotts Way;
THENCE (3) North 00°'00' 32" West along the last named centerline and
Northerly extension thereof a distance of 335.13 feet to a point on a
non-tangent curve concave-to the Southwest having a radius of S0 feet;
THENCE (4) Southeasterly along the last named curve through a central
angle of 66° 2S~ 17" an arc length of S7.96 feet to a point on the
East right of way line of'Royal ScottsWay;
· THENCE (S) South 00° 00' 32" Eas~ along the last named East line a
distance of 309.4S feet to The True Point of Beginning.
RESERVING ~tEREFROM for the purpose of a Public Utility Easement a
6 foot square parcel of land more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest comer of Lot 2 of said Tract' No. 3868,
said Southwest corner being a point in the East right of way line
of Royal Scotts Way and the True Point of Beginning for this
