A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CONSENTING TO A JOINT PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE PROPOSED THIRD AMENDMENT TO
THE AMENDED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE DOWN-
TOWN BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT;
AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A DATE.
THEREFOR, AND PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF JOINT
PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency, by resolution,
consented to a Joint Public Hearing on the Proposed Third Amendment
to the Amended Redevelopment Plan for the Downtown Bakersfield
Redevelopment Project, and requested that the City Council consent
to such Joint Public Hearing and authorize the City Clerk to
establish a date therefor; and
WHEREAS, the consent of both the Redevelopment Agency
and the City Council is required by the California Community
Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code, Section 33458) in order
to conduct such Joint Public Hearing.
NOW, THEREFOE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council hereby consents to a Joint Public
Hearing on the proposed Third Amendment to the Amended Redevelop-
ment Plan for the Downtown BakersfieldRedevelopment Project; and
hereby sets December 5, 1979, as the date, 4 P. M. as the time,
and the Council Chambers as the place for said Joint Public Hearing.
2. The Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency, shall
publish and mail a notice of Joint Public Hearing on the proposed
Third Amendment to the Amended Redevelopment Plan at the time, in
the manner, and with the other documents as required and established
by law.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 7th day of November, 1979, by the follow-
ing vote:
