A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCILOF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD APPROVING NEGATIVE DECLARATION
AND AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE
BAKERSFIELD METROPOLITAN.AREA GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of 'Bakersfield'
held and conducted a public hearing on April 18, 1979, and notice
of the time and place of such hearing was duly. given in the time
and manner specified in Section 65351 of the Government Code and
the Planning Commission's report was completed and transmitted to
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held and conducted a public
hearing in accordance with the provisions of Sections 65351 and
65355 of the Government Code, on May 16, 1979; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the public
interest to change and amend the Land Use Element of the said
General Plan by changing the map of the Land Use Plan as shown by
the map attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the Land Use Element of the Bakersfield Metro-
politan Area General Plan is hereby amended by changing the Land
Use Plan in the manner shown on the diagram attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" (Segment III) and made a part hereof, to wit: by
changing the subject property from medium-density residential to
planned commercial development (PCD) at the northwest corner of
Real and Wilson Roads.
_ 2. That the Planning Director is directed to change
the Land Use Plan in accordance with said Exhibit "A" to show the
change effective as of May 16, 1979.
.3.. That the said amendment to the Land Use Element
will not have a significant effect on the 'environment. The
proposed Conditional Negative Declaration+of environmental impact
is hereby approved.
4. That any and all permits or approvals for subject
property .incorporate the following mitigation measures:
Mi'~g~a~ion
Right-of-way acquisition for a full 90 feet width
on Wilson Road is required not only for subject
property, but the property located on the south-
west corner of Real and Wilson Roads. Roadway
dedication and improvement along the west side
of Real Road south of Wilson is also required.
5. That the Clerk of the Council shall endorse in writing
on said amendment (Exhibit "A") to show that it was adopted by the
City Council on May 16, 1979.
6. That the Clerk of this Council shall forthwith
transmit copies of this Resolution to the Planning Commission of
Kern County and the Kern County Local Agency Formation Commission.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 16th day of May, 1979, by the following
vote:
