A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH'THE
COUNTY OF KERN AND CARPENTERS LOCAL 743 FOR
HOUSING REHABILITATION WITHIN THE CITY.
WHEREAS, an Agreement to assist in rehabilitation of
housing for the elderly, the handicapped and low-income persons,
through joint efforts with the County of Kern and Carpenters
Local 743, is proposed; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement appears to be in the best
interestof the City through the furtherance of its housing
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The proposed Agreement for housing rehabilitation
assistance, sometimes known as the "Handyman Program," is hereby
approved.
2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and attest the same on behalf of the City.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of May, 1979,
by the following vote:
