A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
FRASER ROAD BETWEEN ASHE AND GOSFORD
ROADS, IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 28th day of February, 1979, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 941 declaring its intention
to order the vacation of Fraser Road between Ashe and Gosford
Roads, in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation which said hearing was held on the 28th day of March,
1979, after notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That Fraser Road between Ashe and Gosford Roads, in
the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part hereof, is unnecessary for present or prospective
public street purposes.
2. That Fraser Road between Ashe and Gosford Roads, be
and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for
public street purposes, effective upon the completed construction
of the east one-half of Gosford Road between Planz Road (Fraser
Road) and Ming Avenue, which completion shall be certified by
endorsement-hereto by the Director of-Public Works; and subject
to and in conformity with the reservations and exceptions contained
in and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No. 941.
Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for
further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

All that portion..of Fraser Road, of 60 feet in width, being portions
of Sections 9 and 16, Township 30'South, Range 27 FEast, M.D.M., more
particularly described as follows:
The south 30 feet of said Section 9 and the north 30 feet of said
Section 16; ..
EXCEPTING THERF. FROM the west 55.feet and the east 55 feet..
Containing 7.1 AcreS, More or Less.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 28th day of March, 1979, by the following
vote:
