A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
A FUTURE STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY AT THE
NORTHWEST CORNER OF BRUNDAGE LANE AND
CYPRESS STREET, IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of November, 1978, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 938 declaring its intention
to order the vacation of a future street right-of-way at the north-
west corner of Brundage Lane and Cypress Street, in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation which said hearing was held on the 6th day of December,
1978, after notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the future street right-of-way at the north-
west corner of Brundage Lane and Cypress Street, in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof,
is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes.
2. That the future street right-of-way at the north-
west corner of Brundage Lane and Cypress Street, be and the same
is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street
purposes, subject to and in conformity with the reservations and
exceptions contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of
Intention No. 938. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is
hereby made for further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the 'County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, and being a portion of Section
36, Township 29 South, Range 27 East,
M.D.B.& M., more particularly described
as follows:
That portion of Lot 66 of Tract No. 1527,
as per map recorded December 13, 1949, in
Book 7 of Maps at Page 56, in the office
of the Kern County Recorder, being that
portion of the land lying southerly of
the line designated as "Future Street
Line."
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the south 7 feet
lying within the present Brundage Lane
right-of-way.
