RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC WORKS, TO SIGN AN APPLICATION BY
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD TO THE PUBLIC
UTILITIES CO~MISSION OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA FOR AN ORDER.AUTHORIZING
CONSTRUCTION OF THE SEPARATION STRUCTURE
AT THE ~IN LINE TRACK OF THE SOUTHERN
PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY ON CHESTER
AVENUE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to
sign, on behalf of the City of Bakersfield, an application by the
said City to the Public Utilities Commission of the State of
California for an Order authorizing construction of a separation
structure at the mainline track of the Southern Pacific Trans-
portation Company on Chester Avenue.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk is directed to attest the execution .of
this application.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 8th day of November, 1978, by the follow-
ing vote:
